You’re Going To Be Okay

faith· grief· Suicide

28 Feb

You’re going to be okay! Maybe not today, but you will be okay. This is hard, and you wonder how you will take the next breath. You will. You are stronger than you know and braver than you feel.

It seems like everything is going wrong. What else could happen? Then you find out. The other shoe drops. The struggles keep coming, blindsiding you at every turn.

You’re going to be okay. You will.

There’s hope deep inside you that will burst through the pain and keep you from slipping under the torment of waves. Hold tight to Jesus. Keep steady.

You’re going to be okay.

Right now, it doesn’t seem as if it will ever be okay again. It will. This hard will ease, and you will feel peace again.

You’re going to be okay. You will.

The tears won’t stop, and the ache is more than any human should have to endure. Yet you do. You will.

You’re going to be okay.

I know you feel alone. You are not alone. Never. You are loved, and you matter. You are needed.

This world needs you.
