Have you ever felt “not good enough? ” Have you ever felt like no matter what you do, it won’t be right, it won’t be enough? You can never measure up, never get it right. You can’t please everyone, so what’s the point?
Then you get that nudge from Jesus. He says you are good enough; you’re everything He created you to be. He reminds you that you don’t have to please everyone else. Stop trying. He is the only One who matters, and He died so you could live forever. He sprinkles your heart with scripture; His very words, to tell you that He loves you, and you belong to Him. What else is there really? What else could possibly matter?
When you know the Creator knows your name, indeed knew you before you were formed in your mothers womb…
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. – Psalm 139:13
He knows your beginning and your end, your comings and your goings.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. – Psalm 139:2
He sees you.
I will rejoice and be glad in your steadfast love because you have seen my affliction; you have known the distress of my soul, – Psalm 31:7
He rejoices with singing over you. Wow!
The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. – Zephaniah 3:17
How can you not be “good enough” when the creator of the universe, your creator, loves you so much that He would send his son to die on a cross for you?
Your sin is thrown into the deepest depths of the ocean…forgotten.
He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. – Micah 7:19
Your sin is forgotten by your Holy God – so why are you hanging onto it? Be the one He created you to be. Forgiven and free.
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. – John 8:36
Live like you’re loved and free!
