I’ll Fly Away

faith· family· grief· Life· Stuart Lee Sims

2 Jan

This world is not my home. Some days (maybe a lot of days) I have to recite that as a mantra. Life is complicated. I’ve lost so much in the last few years (yes, my son, but many other losses as well) and goodness I do wonder how much more my heart can take. My sweet hubby and I are aging about 10 times faster than we should. The HOPE is great though. No heartache in Heaven.

Some bright morning when this life is over

I’ll fly away

To that home on God’s celestial shore

I’ll fly away

I’ll fly away, oh glory

I’ll fly away in the morning

When I die, Hallelujah by and by

I’ll fly away

When the shadows of this life have gone

I’ll fly away

Like a bird from these prison walls I’ll fly

I’ll fly away

I’ll fly away, oh glory

I’ll fly away in the morning

When I die, Hallelujah by and by

I’ll fly away

Oh, how glad and happy when we meet

I’ll fly away

No more cold iron shackles on my feet

I’ll fly away

I’ll fly away, oh glory

I’ll fly away in the morning

When I die, Hallelujah by and by

I’ll fly away

I’ll fly away, oh glory

I’ll fly away in the morning

When I die, Hallelujah by and by

I’ll fly away

Just a few more weary days and then

I’ll fly away

To a land where joys will never end

I’ll fly away

I’ll fly away, oh glory

I’ll fly away in the morning

When I die, Hallelujah by and by

I’ll fly away

I’ll fly away

I know you’re still in pain and mourning, but remember God is good. He loves you, He wants you and your family to be happy trusting in Him, no matter what life brings. Let’s lunch soon ❤️
